Big-hat hatpin
Graduate, sterling hatpin
Congratulations. Sterling. Mortarboard, diploma, tassle. Additional hallmarks on back, three heart shapes, one with a B in it, middle can't figure and the last one has a P. Need better picture for all the detail - graduate holds a diploma, has on a fine robe, and there is another symbol on the left (his left) shawl end. A Maltese Cross? something Masonic or do many institutions have that?
Head of this flat hatpin is 1 3/4" - and the rod is 8 3/4 - quite big - or should we say, quite big, actually, with an accent.
